Tool Demo at SPLC 2025: UVengine
Presentation of the tool demo paper "UVengine: A Universal Variability Resolution Engine for Feature Models Using Template-Based Artifacts". The session featured UVengine, a novel variability resolution engine designed to bridge the gap between UVL feature models and product derivation. The tool handles complex, non-Boolean variability extensions over language-independent text artifacts using Jinja templates, ensuring seamless ecosystem integration and strict feature-to-artifact traceability.
Seminar «Configurando trillones de menús del Julio usando UVL»
Seminar presented as an invited talk within the weekly cycle "La informática en la encrucijada", organized at the ETSI Informática by the Institute of Software Engineering (I3US), the Doctoral Program in Computer Science, and the research groups Diverso Lab, IDEA, ITALICA, DeepKnowledge, and Interface. Led by Professor José Miguel Horcas (UMA), the session offers comprehensive training on UVL (Universal Variability Language), covering everything from its basic fundamentals to its advanced applications. Through a practical and informative approach, it demonstrates how to model the variability and constraints of a real product line from an authentic pizzeria menu. The event, open to students, researchers, and professionals, consists of a 60-minute presentation followed by a debate on the future of software engineering and the UVL language.

Award-Winning PhD Thesis Presentation: SISTEDES 2020
Video presentation summarizing the PhD thesis "WeaFQAs: A Software Product Line approach for customizing and weaving efficient Functional Quality Attributes", which received the SISTEDES Best PhD Thesis Award (2020 Edition). Defended at the Universidad de Málaga under the supervision of Dr. Lidia Fuentes and Dr. Mónica Pinto, the thesis achieved the highest distinction (Sobresaliente Cum Laude) alongside an International Doctorate Mention following a research stay at Trinity College Dublin (Ireland). The presentation outlines the proposed software product line approach for customizing and weaving efficient functional quality attributes in complex software systems.
Best Research Paper Award Presentation at SPLC 2021
Presentation of the paper "Monte Carlo Tree Search for Feature Model Analyses: a General Framework for Decision-Making", which was awarded the Best Research Paper Award at SPLC 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the conference was held in a completely virtual (online) format. The presentation detailed a novel general framework that leverages Monte Carlo Tree Search to optimize decision-making and automate complex analyses within feature models.
